The GR FIRE is a Track and field club that specializes in helping athletes grow Mentally, Physically and Spiritually to perform at their optimal level in the sport of Track and Field.. The GR FIRE has two GREAT options for kids of all ages and levels to participate in, for our 2019 Outdoor summer season. The Outdoor season spans from May through the first week of August for the 2019 season.
We have an Elite travel team option which is an advanced program for kids looking to “go to the next level” in their track and field training and experience. This team will practice 4-5 nights per week and travel to meets across the state with an opportunity to go to Districts/Regionals and Nationals.
We also offer a local team option for those families that want a lesser time commitment, but still want great training and an opportunity to grow in the sport. We welcome those that are just starting into track that want to learn the sport onto this team as well! This option practices 2-3 days per week and participates in local meets around the Grand Rapids area.
- Practices for sprint and field event athletes will begin in May (Or when ever their school season is completed). Distance runners can start at any time
- Practices for Sprinters/Hurdlers/Long jumpers is at Godwin Heights HS track
- Practices for Distance runners is at Ottawa Hills HS
