Adriel Morgan joins us as head sprint coach this year, 2018. He has coached track & field at Godwin Heights High School for three years. Prior to that he was long jump coach at Portage Northern where his long jumpers earned three All-State honors, including a Michigan Division 1 State Champion.
He held the long jump record at Portage Northern for over 11 years, and was twice regional champion and all-conference long jumper.
He attended the United States Naval Academy, was Heptagonal all-conference in the 2002 outdoor season, and three-time all-conference in the Patriot League. He was Patriot League long jump champion in the 2005 outdoor season. His PB in college was 24’9″ (7m54).
He was the 2010 State Games of Michigan long jump champion, and still holds the games record. In 2013 he was the USATF Michigan Association champion and record holder, as well as the USATF Masters outdoor national champion.
